Virginia Alice Hubbard

April 30, 1927 — January 23, 2011

Virginia Alice Hubbard, 83, recently of Seattle, WA, and former Lodgepole resident, died Sunday, January 23, 2011, at St. Anne Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Seattle, Washington.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 29, 2011, at the United Methodist Church in Lodgepole with Pastor Ezekiel Koech officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery north of Lodgepole.

Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday one hour prior to the service.

A memorial gift can be sent to the United Methodist Church of Lodgepole, Nebraska.

Virginia (Ginny) was born on April 30, 1927 in Lodgepole, Nebraska to Curtis H. and Alice Quinn Brown. She grew up and received her education in the Lodgepole school system where she made and enjoyed lifelong friendships. Her love of family and friends brought her back to her roots in Lodgepole in 2000. She enjoyed family get-togethers, friends, church, Sunday afternoon card games, dancing, reading and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia.

She is survived by her daughters, Dee Hubbard of Holland, MI and Patti Beard of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, DeLynn and Corey Unema, Brian Johnson, Shana and Eric Bryant, Kati Beard, Sara and Mike Metzger, Kyler and Judy Beard; brothers and sisters, Judy Sanderson, Harry and Elnora Brown, Idona Richins, Dick and Joyce Brown, Jane Zalesky, Jim and Vicky Brown and Dorothy and Ron McMillan; along with many nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Curtis H. Brown and Alice Quinn Brown and her niece, Pamela Joy Brown.
