Sharon Bayne, 66 of Sidney, Nebraska died Friday evening, June 10, 2011 at the Memorial Health Center in Sidney.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 15, 2011 in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Sidney with Pastor Eric Meissner officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Cremation has taken place and there is no visitation at the funeral home. Friends who wish can sign the register book on Tuesday until 5:00 P.M.
Memorials have been established to the family.
Sharon Kay Bayne, the daughter of Armin and Minnie (Folkerts) Onken was born April 14, 1945 at Lodgepole, Nebraska. She attended the Sidney Public Schools, graduating from Sidney High School.
On May 31, 1963 she was united in marriage to Harold Dean Bayne. To this union three children were born: Tony, Troy and Tanya.
She was a day care provider as well as being employed at Wal-Mart.
Sharon was an extremely loving and giving person who always put the needs of others ahead of her own. She loved Husker football and most importantly followed all of her children’s and grandchildren’s activities. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and all others whose lives she has touched.
Survivors include her children: Tony and wife Dannette Bayne, Troy Bayne and Tanya Bayne all of Sidney, NE; her mother Minnie Onken; sisters Gladys and husband Mike Hartzler and Connie Benzel all of Sidney, NE; one brother Keith and wife Sharon
Onken of Ovid, CO; Grandchildren: Kodi, Tyler, Bret and Blake and grandchildren: Rhyder and Adrian; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Armin and one brother Ken Onken and his wife Norma.
