Susan Zingula, 55 of Sidney, Nebraska died Monday morning, October 17, 2011 at her home in Sidney.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 21, 2011 in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Sidney with Pastor Bob Mortvedt officiating. Services will conclude at the church.
Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the Holechek Funeral Home in Sidney with the family present from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.
Susan Rae Zingula, the daughter of Donald and Valere (Navitsky) Konsdorf was born April 28, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois. She grew up in Marion, Iowa where she attended school and graduated from Linn-Mar High School in 1974. After high school she attended college graduating from Iowa State University in 1979 with a degree in accounting.
On August 18, 1979 she was united in marriage to Douglas Zingula in Marion, Iowa. They moved to Sidney, Nebraska in September of 1981 where she worked in the accounting and finance department of Cabela’s for 15 years. She retired in April of 1996 to be a stay at home mom and raise her family.
Susan enjoyed golfing, family, her church and travel.
Survivors include her husband Doug of Sidney, NE; two daughters: Tanna Danch and husband Ben of Sidney, NE and Jillian Zingula of Omaha, NE; one son Bret Zingula of Lincoln, NE; one brother Robert Konsdorf and wife Joan of Henderson, NV and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial in Susan’s name has been established through the Great Western Bank with the proceeds to be designated later.
