Eula Fern Brown

Funeral services for Eula Fern Brown will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, March 24 at Calvary Baptist Church in Sidney with Pastors Darren Willett and Justin Steimer officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to Grace Baptist Fellowship (Marked Christian Challenge), to assist the college outreach ministry at Chadron State College that Eula Fern so faithfully supported.

Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday at the Holechek Funeral Home in Sidney with the family present from 5:30 to 7:00.

Eula Fern (Walker) Brown was born December 4, 1920 to Charles and Georgia Walker of Lorenzo, NE, and entered into Glory, Tuesday morning March 20, 2012.
Eula Fern graduated from Lorenzo High School in 1938 and then attended Midland College in Fremont NE. After college she was employed by the Civil Air Patrol in Washington D.C, before moving to Kansas City to work in aviation.

On June 3, 1944, she was wed to Lyndelle C. Brown of Polo, Missouri in Olathe, KS. The couple moved to the Sidney area to farm in 1945. Eula's husband Lyndelle (Brownie) owned and operated B & B Sales of Sidney, and Eula was right beside him for support.

Eula was a strong woman of faith and a charter member of Grace Baptist Church of Sidney. Eula Fern enjoyed traveling, being with family and friends, but most importantly being a wife, a Mother and a Grandmother. She was a member of the Gleaners, Helping Hands Garden Club, and supported many ministries and causes.

Survivors include two sons, Garry Brown and wife Barbara of Fleming CO, Randy Brown of Sidney, NE, one daughter Kandi Wilkinson and husband Bub of Sidney, NE; Grandsons: Jeremy Brown, Ryan Brown and wife Mellissa of Kearney, NE, Justin Brown and wife Jessica of Chadron, NE, Lee Brown and wife Emma of Sterling CO, Daniel Brown and wife Alysha of Scott City, KS, Carter Brown and Tanner Wilkinson both of Sidney, NE; Two great grand-daughters, Rilynn and Reagan Brown and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lyndelle, infant sons Terry L. and Larry F., parents Charles and Georgia Walker, and brother Raymond Walker.

Holechek Funeral Home and Cremations in Sidney is serving the Brown family.
