Madeline Saint, 90, of Oshkosh, passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 20, 2012 at the Garden County Health Services Hospital in Oshkosh.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday March 23, 2012 at the United Methodist Church in Oshkosh with Pastor Ray Weinerman officiating. Burial will follow at the Kowanda Cemetery south of Oshkosh.

Visitation will be held at the Holechek Funeral Home in Oshkosh on Thursday from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Madeline Richstein was the fourth and last child born to Isidor and Jennie (Hunnel) Richstein on their family farm a mile north of Oshkosh on February 23, 1922.

She graduated from Garden County High School. She cooked for her brothers at the Davis Ranch on Blue Creek for a time and then in 1947 began working in the Johnny Miller grocery store in Oshkosh where she worked for over 25 years.

On March 17, 1957, she married Floyd Saint. To this union, two children were born: Marvin and Colleen.

The family lived on the H.A. Fry farm until 1960 when they purchased the Lancaster Farm on the tableland south of Oshkosh. The couple took care of 4 central cemeteries in Garden County for several years.

She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, grocery shopping, and teaching cooking to her daughter and her friends in 4-H. She was a very devoted wife and mother.

Madeline was a member of the United Methodist Church in Oshkosh since her marriage.

Survivors include son, Marvin Saint of Oshkosh; daughter, Colleen and Cliff Gibbs of Georgetown, TX; 2 grandchildren, Jennifer and Sonya Gibbs; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Floyd in 2005 and 3 brothers and grandson, Maurice William Saint.
