Dr. Gordon “Doc” Toyne, 72 of Chappell, Nebraska died Monday, February 25, 2013 at his home in Chappell.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 2, 2013 in the Chappell Assembly of God Church with Pastor Rich Graeff officiating. Services will conclude at the church.
Cremation has taken place and there is no visitation at the funeral home.
Memorials have been established to the Deuel County Trail Blazer’s 4-H.
Gordon Richard Toyne, the son of Llewellyn and Joyce (Dooley) Toyne was born April 30, 1940 in Greeley, Colorado. He graduated from Colorado State University Veterinary School in 1964. After serving in the Army he settled in Chappell where he practiced veterinary medicine.
He is survived by his wife Devona Toyne of Boles, AR; daughters: Barbara and Dale Schmidt of St. Paul, NE, Carla And Andy Danitschek of Seattle, WA, Meredith Toyne of Bayard, NE and Kathryn and Jorge Sanchez of St. Paul, NE; son Michael Toyne of Scottsbluff, NE; 6 step-children and numerous grandchildren.
Holechek Funeral Home and Cremations in Chappell is serving the Toyne family.
