Randy Leach, 56 of Chappell, Nebraska died late Saturday afternoon, July 13, 2013 at the Miller Memorial Care Center in Chappell.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the Chappell Fire Hall.

Cremation has been held and there is no visitation.

Memorials have been established to the family.

Randy Lou Leach the second son of Ervin and Delores (Florom) Leach was born on October 17th, 1956, in Phellps county at the Holdrege Hospital. He attended school in Holdrege until his parents moved to Chappell in 1966 when they bought and operated the Wayside motel, station and café. He then helped his dad run the station and attended Chappell public schools.
He lived in the Chappell, Sidney, and Dalton areas all his life but Chappell was home.

He was a natural born truck driver most of his life. Driving for Paulsers out of Big Springs, Far port, Ward Transport, Wynn Transport, Fed X and Bob Harms and his own truck for Zach Farms before he became sick. He loved driving truck with his brother Rick and they shared a lot of time together until his brother passed away in 2002.Between trucking jobs he was a maintenance man at Hill Top Manor where he got to know and love many of the residents. He also worked for FEC until he bought his own truck.

He married Laurie Koch and to this union a daughter Chelsea was born on May 12th, 1984.

He got to give his daughter Chelsea away to Dustin Dabb last week in a wedding ceremony in the nursing home. This was one of the most important things that he wanted to be a part of.

He married Deb Bradshaw in Nevada on April 13, 2004. They enjoyed nine years together with many trips to Deadwood to gamble on special occasions.

Randy is survived by his wife Debbie of Chappell, His daughter Chelsea and husband D.J. Dabb of Cheyenne Wyoming, His brother Rudy Leach of Charleston SC., his sister Rita Purcell of Brule Ne , sister Ronda Ward and husband Mike of Chappell sister-In -law Cheri Leah of Chappell and many nieces and nephews, Aunts , Uncles, Cousins and many , many friends.

Randy was preceded in death by his beloved brother Rick. His brother- in- law Charlie Purcell Grandparent’s Joseph and Amy Leach , Delbert and Lillie Florom.
