Patricia "Pat" Queen

Patricia Ann Queen, 85, of Scottsbluff and formerly of Lisco, went to meet her Lord at her home in Scottsbluff on Tuesday morning, September 3, 2013 with her daughter by her side.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Lisco Presbyterian Church with Pastor Leon “Bud” Gillespie officiating. Burial will follow in the Lisco Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held before services at the church.
Memorials in Pat’s name may be made to the Lisco Memorial Cemetery Fence Fund, the Lisco Presbyterian Church or to Prairie Haven Hospice in Scottsbluff.

Patricia Ann (Ray) Queen was born in Wolbach, Nebraska on October 6, 1927 to John S. and Carrye L. Peterson Ray. She attended school in Lisco. She married Walter Queen on March 9, 1942. To this union 3 children, Asa, Janet and Carrye were born.
Patricia worked and supported her husband, Walter during his 55 year career with Rush Creek. Her primary goal in life was providing and caring for her husband and 3 children.
She was a member and Elder of the Presbyterian Church in Lisco and an active member of the Presbyterian Woman’s Association. Patricia will be fondly remembered for her laughter and sense of humor.
Patricia is survived by her daughters, Janet Solley of Scottsbluff and Carrye and husband, David Meints of Filley, NE; daughter-in-law, Helen Queen of Spearfish, SD; grandchildren, Asa Queen and wife, Nancy of St. Paul, MN, Mathew Queen and wife, Dawn of Nisland, SD, David Queen and wife, Kim of Fort Bragg, CA, Leslie Huff and husband, John of Mission Viejo, CA, Deena Hecker and husband, Rick of Gulfport, MS, George Hofman and wife, Linda of Richland, WA, Sarah Grosz of Bellevue, NE, and Matt Meints and wife, Kate of Pickrell, NE; 9 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter on July 29, 2013; parents, John and Carrye Ray; son, Asa Jay Queen; brother, Allen Ray; sisters, Dorothy Ray and June Ray; and a great-grandson, Justin Walgren.
