Donna Rush, 79 of Sidney, Nebraska died Tuesday afternoon, November 5, 2013 at Sidney Regional Medical Center, Extended Care.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, November 9, 2013 in the Light Memorial Presbyterian Church in Sidney with the Rev. Dr. Dixie Voss Anders officiating. Services will conclude at the church with inurnment at a later date.
Memorials have been established to the Light Memorial Presbyterian Church Building Fund or the Sidney Regional Medical Center Extended Care.
Cremation has taken place and there is no visitation at the funeral home. Friends who wish can sign the register book on Friday at the Holechek Funeral Home in Sidney.
Donna M. Rush, the daughter of Gurney and Sarah (Frank) Coe was born May 12, 1934 at Mitchell, Nebraska. She grew up in Scottsbluff, Nebraska and graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1952.
On June 18, 1955 she was united in marriage to Bill Rush at Scottsbluff. They lived in several area communities before move to Sidney in 1962. Donna worked in retail sales for 15 years as well as being a homemaker and raising her family. Her children and grandchildren were a joy in her life.
She was a member of the Light Memorial Presbyterian Church for over 50 years, serving as a Deacon and teaching Sunday school.
Survivors include her husband Bill of Sidney, NE; three sons: Mike and wife Sherry of Omaha, NE, Rick and wife Geri of Littleton, CO and Bill of Highlands Ranch, CO; four grandchildren: Alison Rush, Carrie Rush, Emily Rush and Amanda Rush; and two sisters: Millie Grateke of Sedalia, MO and Barbara Hawkins and husband Ken of Cheyenne, WY
She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers: Dewayne Coe, Donald Coe, Delmar Coe and Danny Coe.
