Boyd W. Aden, 86 of Chappell, Nebraska was called to his eternal home on Sunday morning, May 25, 2014 at the Miller Memorial Care Center in Chappell.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday May 31, 2014 in the Zion Lutheran Church in Chappell with Pastor Daniel Larson officiating. Burial will follow in the Chappell Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials have been established to the Zion Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Hour or the donor’s choice.
Friends may call from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday at the Holechek Funeral Home in Chappell.
Boyd was born July 3, 1927 to John G. and Elizabeth (Lambertus) Aden in Chappell. He was baptized and confirmed in the Zion Lutheran Church. He went to school in Chappell and graduated from Deuel County High School in 1945. Boyd was past owner with his brothers in Aden’s IGA grocery store until retirement in 1982.
In 2009 he was a resident of the Golden Living Center in Sidney and in 2012 he moved to the Miller Memorial Care Center in Chappell.
Survivors include two nephews: Robert and Phoebe Aebig of Salt Lake City, UT and Timothy and Barbara Aden of Sun City West, AZ; two nieces: Gae and William Stafford of Kearney, NE and Charlotte and Ronald Kafka of Lincoln, NE and one sister-in-law Leah Aden of Chappell, NE
Boyd was preceded in death by his parents, step-father Ehme Aden, his brothers Chet and Bob and his sisters Gertrude and Marjorie.
Holechek Funeral Home and Cremations in Chappell is serving the Aden family.
