Celeste Wingate, 64 of Chappell, Nebraska died Monday, January 12, 2015 at the Sedgwick County Health Center Hospital in Julesburg, Colorado.
Cremation has taken place with memorial services to be held at a later date.
Holechek Funeral Home and Cremations in Chappell assisted the family with the cremation.
Celeste Jeanne Wingate, the daughter of Lester and Carol (Baker) Trembley was born July 1, 1950 in Denver, Colorado. She grew up and attended school in Denver and Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
On December 24, 1967 she was united in marriage to Eric Wingate and to this union one son, Sean was born. She and Eric were full partners in many business ventures including furniture repair and refinishing, and attending flea markets and shows as a business.
She and Eric moved to Chappell in 1999 where they had an antique store. Celeste enjoyed cooking, and as well as helping with the family business, she cooked at the Senior Citizen’s Center.
Celeste most enjoyed her years as a mother and wife. She was a caring, giving person and always a joy with a smile on her face. She will be missed by many.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Eric of Chappell, NE and her son Sean Wingate of Denver, CO
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
