Landra Markowski, 63, of Oshkosh passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 18, 2015 at the Regional West Hospital in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Oshkosh with Ann Bairn, PMA and Sharon Paulsen officiating. Burial will follow in the Oshkosh City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Monday at the Holechek Funeral Home in Oshkosh from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Memorials in Landra’s name may be designated to St. Mark's Lutheran Church.

Landra Kaye Markowski, the daughter of James and Birdeen (Sharp) Douglas was born January 15, 1952 in Nebraska City, NE. She spent her childhood growing up on the Douglas family ranch north of Oshkosh where she also attended country school. Later she moved to Oshkosh with her mother to attend Garden County High School. She graduated in 1970.

On September 9, 1973 she married Ed Kramer. To this union a daughter, Lisa was born. The couple later divorced. On May 2, 1980 she married Eugene Markowski who brought with him two sons, David and Brian from a previous marriage. To this union their son, James was born.

Landra spent most of her life as a homemaker raising her children. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her friends and family and volunteering any way she could in the community. She loved spending time with her grandchildren as they were her pride and joy. She was also a member of the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.

Landra is survived by her husband Eugene Markowski of Oshkosh, NE; one daughter: Lisa and husband Steve Ballard of Ogallala, NE; three sons: David Markowski of Omaha, NE, Brian and wife Paula Markowski of Mitchell, NE and James Markowski of Lincoln, NE; eight grandchildren: Aubrey, Tristan, Hadley, Aidan, Bailey, Logan, Cameron and Cadence; and one brother: Dale Douglas of Aurora, CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Birdeen Douglas.
