Jean Marie McCormick, 90, lifelong Lewellen resident, passed away Tuesday afternoon February 9, 2016 at the Regional West Garden County Nursing Home in Oshkosh.
Cremation has taken place and memorial graveside services will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be given to the Garden County Health Services Foundation- Nursing Home.

Jean Marie McCormick was born on August 2, 1925 in Lewellen to Alfred and Jennie (Orr) McCormick. She was raised in Lewellen. She worked at Paks in Ogallala and at the Riverside in Lewellen. She lived at Riverview until her health forced her to move to the nursing home in Oshkosh around 2010.
Jean loved music and her family will fondly remember her record collection. Despite disabilities she was able to learn to play the piano. She enjoyed playing solitaire. Her favorite part of life was her nieces and nephews. She loved babies and children.
Jean is survived by 2 brothers, Neil “Pike” and Larry and wife, Doris McCormick, sister, Stella McCormick, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Alfred “Duke” and Howard “Bud”, and sisters, Elizabeth “Sis” Beard and Doris Tilgner.
