Dorothy Elnora Stewart, 96, of Kingman Arizona and a former Cheyenne County resident, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2016 in Kingman, Az.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 16, 2016 in the Holechek Funeral home in Chappell , Nebraska with Rev. David Abbott of the Chappell United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Chappell Cemetery.

Dorothy “Elnora” Stewart was born December 24, 1919, in Lodgepole Nebraska to Mildred and Leonard Hulslander. Elnora grew up in Western Nebraska & Eastern Colorado graduating from Crook High School in 1938. She married LeRoy “Mike” Stewart on October 7, 1939 in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Mike and Elnora farmed near Lodgepole and Sunol, Nebraska until 1950 when they purchased a dairy farm and relocated to Loveland, Colorado. In 1956 they sold the farm and purchased Loveland Feed and Seed. In 1965 Elnora worked for Lego Toys and later for Hewlett Packard until her retirement in 1978.

After retirement, Mike and Elnora purchased a 5th wheel travel trailer and traveled throughout the united states for more than 20 years. In 2001 they established residence in Apple Valley California. Upon Mike’s passing in 2007, Elnora relocated to Kingman, Az. to be near her two sisters.

Elnora is preceded in death by her Husband Mike, Sons Gary Stewart & Thomas Stewart; Daughter Carollynn Stewart; Parents Leonard and Mildred Hulslander; Brothers, Thomas Hulslander, Harry Hulslander, Len Hulslander, Dee Hulslander, Kenneth Hulslander; Sister Betty Huckabee

Elnora is survived by; sons: James and wife Marty Stewart of Hesperia CA and Danny and wife Perry Stewart of Del Mar, CA; granddaughters: Mellissa (Sean) Norbury, Klamath, CA; and Barbara Estrada of Richland, WA; grandson Ryan Stewart of Del Mar, CA; sisters Bernice Keime of Denver, Co, Arta (Ronnie) Wray of Grand Junction, Co and Karma (Bill) Jones of Kingman, AZ Elnora is also survive by 6 great-grandchildren.
