Lloyd Keith “Skip” Bradley, of Lewellen, passed away Friday morning, August 26, 2016 at his home in Lewellen fulfilling his last wishes to be at home.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no formal services or visitation at the funeral home.

A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Lewellen Community Center. A light meal and refreshments will be served.

Memorials in Skip’s name may be designated to the Lewellen Community Center or the Lewellen Tiger Den.

Holechek Funeral Home and Cremations in Oshkosh is serving the Bradley family.

Lloyd Keith “Skip” Bradley was born the 5th oldest child of Samuel and Loyla Bernice (Roberson) Bradley in Lewellen on May 4, 1931. The family eventually grew to 15 children. He attended school in Lewellen and was proud of his many track and football accomplishments. He graduated from Lewellen in 1949 and began work at Grace Land and Cattle Company as a hired hand in the Sandhills.

In May 1955, he was united in marriage to Betty Cutrell. They initially made their home in Lewellen before moving to Omaha and Skip worked in construction. After a work accident left him disabled the family returned to Lewellen in 1966. To this union 3 children, Jeff, Jody, and Kelli were born.

Skip enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and his garden. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his riding buddy, Jacey.

Skip is survived by two daughters, Jody and Eric Lobner of Lewellen and Kelli and Kirk Kuxhausen of Mitchell, Nebraska; 6 grandchildren, Jacey Leeper, Randy Bradley, Abbey and Bo Boppre, Nick, Carlye and Madison Kuxhausen; 8 siblings, Joan Farlow, Dixie and John Lehmann, Glenna Johnson, Carol Varley, Jan and Dick Cranmore, Steve Bradley, Kelly Bradley, and Sue and Gary Custer; and many, many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife in 2007, son, Jeff Bradley, grandson, Dusty Boppre, and siblings, Jean Bradley, Sammy Bradley, Glee Pickard, Bunny Lee, Jim Bradley and an infant sibling.
