Bernadine Heath

Bernadine Heath, 89, of Sidney, passed away Sunday afternoon, November 27, 2016 at the Sidney Regional Medical Center-Extended Care.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Holechek Funeral Home in Sidney with Pastor Jim Gerhold of the Christian Life Center in Sidney officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Rosehill Cemetery at Broadwater.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m to 6:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made to the family.

Bernadine was born on March 14, 1927 at Hemingford, Nebraska to Josiah and Faye (miller) Timblin. She was the 3rd child of 5. She attended school in Hemingford where she lived with her parents and brothers. She graduated high school in 1946.

Bernadine met Harold Heath and they were married on September 23, 1951 while Harold was in the army on furlough.

In 1957, the couple moved north of Broadwater where they lived raising their children. She faithfully cared for her husband and children who were her greatest joy. She loved her Lord and Savior. She was a member of the Broadwater Nazarene Church until its closing in the late 1970’s. She then joined the Bridgeport Assembly of God Church. She was also a member of the Broadwater Legion Auxiliary helping serve many community dinners and helping where she could. In 1995, Harold and Bernadine sold the family farm and decided to move to Sidney where she resided until her death. She was a proud member of the Christian Life Center in Sidney.

She is survived by her children Darlene and husband, Dennis Hastings of Grant and son Donald Ray and wife, Ella Heath of Rushville; 6 grandchildren, Tonya (Brent) Beekman, Tiffany (Chris) Raymond, Eleanor Heath, Jobi Hastings, Desmond Hastings, and Jovina Hastings; several great grandchildren and one more on the way; 2 great-great grandchildren; brother, George Timblin of Sandy, Oregon; and several nieces, nephews , cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, brothers, Clarence and his wife, Yvonne and Joe Jr. and his wife, Linda, brother-in-law, Paul Heath and 2 sister-in-laws, Katie and husband, Albert Lundy and Esther Heath.
