She graduated from Garden County High School in 1942. After high school, she moved to Idaho and then Denver working for the telephone company. In 1944, she joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served for 15 months, being discharged at the end of WWII. After discharge, she returned to the Denver and Idaho areas.

She spent many years at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church attending Bible study circles and serving on many committees including Sunday school superintendent. She gave her life to Christ in Christian baptism on September 12, 1985, and became a member of the Garden County Church of Christ until the time of her passing.
