Allison Cenkner, 63, of Chappell passed away Saturday, June 7, 2025 at the Sedgwick County Memorial Nursing Home in Julesburg.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 am Friday, June 13, 2025 at the Chappell Methodist Church with Pastor Riann Nel officiating. Burial will follow in the Chappell City Cemetery.

Memorials in Allison’s name can be made to Chappell Volunteer Fire Department or Night of Hope in Sidney.

Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Home and Cremations in Chappell is serving the Cenkner family.

Allison Ann was born May 3, 1962 in Chappell to Willis and Dixie (Guenin) Riley. She joined three older siblings, Patrick, Susan and John with Dan completing the family later. She attended school in Chappell where she graduated in 1980. After high school, she attended college in Rapid City and graduated in November 1985.

After college graduation she moved to Colorado to begin her life in Aurora. She started a career with Safeway in 1989 working with the company until 2014 including the Sidney location where she ran the produce department. After Safeway she worked at the Sidney UPS location as a supervisor for several years.

On October 16, 1993 she married Robert Cenkner, who she met on a blind date in 1988. They made their home in Conifer for many years. In 2014, they moved back to Nebraska and her hometown.

Allison enjoyed traveling especially to Florida, days at the lake, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Bob of Chappell; siblings, Susan Riley of Chappell, John (Sharon) Riley of Sidney, Dan (Christy) Riley of Chappell; brother-in-law, Stephen Cenkner of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; 5 nieces and nephews: Hannah Riley, Lane and wife Katelin Riley, Wyatt and husband, George Riley, Vanessa and husband Matthew Wood, and Cooper Riley and friend, Macie Miller; 5 great nieces and nephews: Clayton John and Miles Guenin Riley, Riggs Arthur and Brooklyn Rose Riley, and Vivan Kay Wood; and her feline companion, Kitty.

Allison was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Dixie, brother, Patrick, sister-in-law Jan Riley and many other family members.
