Arlene was born November 19, 1919 in Huntsman, Nebraska, to Ross and Ollie Tooker. She was raised in Burlington Colorado, where she graduated high school.

On August 29, 1945, she married Marvin Edward Loewe in Edgar, Nebraska. Due to ration-control during that time period as a result of World War II, Arlene and Marvin received several retread tires as wedding gifts. When they embarked on their honeymoon, the tires filled the entire trunk and back seat of their vehicle. When they returned from Washington, the tires had all been used and were gone.

After their wedding, they settled in their new home in Neligh, NE. From there, they spent some time in North Platte before making Sidney their permanent home. There, Arlene made her living as a hairdresser for over fifty years, owning The Cameo for twenty of those.

Arlene loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was an active member of Light Memorial Presbyterian Church, BPO Does, and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for several years. She enjoyed playing bridge and other card games, watching or listening to the Cornhuskers, Broncos and Rockies, and traveling with friends and family. Most of all, Arlene loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by so many who found love and hospitality in her home.

Arlene is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin.

She is survived by her daughters, Carol Bader of Nampa, Idaho, and Kathy (Dave) Hruska of Sidney, Nebraska; five grandchildren, Jeff (Sandy) Bader of Nampa, Idaho, Joe (Traci) Bader of Moses Lake, Washington, Idaho, Jim (Kaci) Bader of Kuna, Idaho, Megan (Todd) O’Connell of Port Jefferson, New York, and Kaitlyn (Andrew) Plummer of Bridgeport, Nebraska; Nine great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and numerous special nieces, nephews and in-laws.
