Damoth Jane Goforth, born November 29th 1939 to Andrew and Beatrice Mink of Livingston, Kentucky. Damoth was married to Joel Mink and had three children, Harvey, Susie, and Deanna. She lost Joel to illness and later married Frank B Goforth. They lived in the Kentucky area for years and had five children, Betty, Anna, Falia, Frankie, and David.
Damoth was always busy taking care of her children and she was also a very hard worker. She loved sewing, canning, cooking, and family time. In her spare time, she spent hours making beautiful hand sewn blankets for her family and loved ones. Damoth became a CNA in Julesburg, Colorado, where she worked for many years. When her husband became ill, she had to quit her job and turn all her loving care towards her husband, which she did willingly. She did an amazing job taking care of him.
In the year 2000, Damoth’s husband Frank passed away from lung cancer. After a while she moved to Oklahoma where she resided with her daughter Falia. She lived with John and Falia for over 18 years where she travelled back and forth to visit family during that time. She enjoyed many things including playing games, going to garage sales, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Another activity that brought her happiness was playing cards, but mostly when she was beating you at cards! She was also a fantastic and very enthusiastic Oklahoma City basketball fan and loved to watch golf as well. Damoth always had a beautiful smile on her face that brightened up every room she was in.
Damoth became ill in November of 2025 when she had a serious operation in which she was incredibly strong during and pulled through. Always fighting her battle of illness there forward after her surgery, all she wanted was for her family to be around her! We lost our beautiful mom, granny, and great grandma on April 11th, 2026. Her last rally before the lord took her was when she woke up to say, “I love you. I love you,” over and over again. Those were the last precious words we heard her say.
She will be remembered by her brother Johnny Mink and wife Patty, and sister Jean Newcomb. Her children Deanna Cartmill, Harvey Mink and wife Wilma, Betty Collins and husband Dave, Anna Collins and husband Ron, Frankie Goforth and wife Chris, David Goforth and wife Maggie, Falia Ekman and husband John.
Also, remembered by her grandchildren Julia, Aysia, Troy, Paul, Johnathan, Tiffany, David Scott, Corey, Brandy, Kayla, Brunner, Lewis, Skye, Makayla, and Andy. Great grandchildren Owen, Bayleigh, Lynlee, Boone, Penelope, Eli, Oli, Reuben, London, Blaikley, and Atom.
Damoth is predeceased in death by her husband Frank Goforth, mom Beatrice Mink, dad Andrew Mink, daughter Susie Best, grandsons Joel and Farley Newcomb, brothers Denver, Kermit, and Claude Mink.
Damoth will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, her strength, and most of all her love she had for all of her family!
We will miss you, mom, grandma, great grandma, and sister.
