Dolores "Muggy" Branch

October 9, 1927 — May 1, 2022

Dolores “Muggy” Branch, 94, of Oshkosh, passed away Sunday morning, May 1, 2022 at the Regional West Garden County Hospital in Oshkosh.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the Ash Hollow Cemetery with Vonnie Brown officiating.

In accordance with Muggy’s wishes, cremation has been held.

Memorials can be made to the family for later designation.

Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Home and Cremations in Oshkosh is serving the Branch family.

Dolores June (McCall) Branch was born October 9, 1927 in Lewellen, Nebraska to John and Edith (Orr) McCall. 

Muggy was married to Hubert “Tex” Branch on October 4, 1946 in Lewellen.  He passed away in 1974.

She worked many years at Jack Nerud Agency and later worked as a receptionist for Dr. Seng.  After she retired, she operated the car wash and print shop business.

Muggy sold the family farm in 2016 and moved to Ogallala to be closer to her daughter and granddaughter.  She loved her apartment and the many friends she made in Ogallala, as well as, keeping in touch with friends in Lewellen and Oshkosh.

Dolores enjoyed traveling and went on numerous trips and cruises.  Her favorite pastimes were reading, working puzzles, playing with her cat, Cleo, and playing dominoes with friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane and husband, Rod Kolsrud of Ogallala and their daughter, Jeana Frosh; son, John and wife, Bettie Branch of Hot Springs, South Dakota and their children Christina and husband, Nathan Heisler (John, Landon, Jaclynn) of Edgemont, South Dakota, Lisa and husband, Matt Petersen (Adeline) of Loveland, Colorado, and Glenda and husband, Jack Burgess (Jett and Anna) of Ashby, Nebraska; sister, Beverly Loomis, her cat, Cleo, and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

She was welcomed into her eternal home by her husband, Tex, parents, great-granddaughter, Dalia, sister, Vivian and husband, Vern Kallsen, and brother-in-law, Dorwin Loomis.
