Becky was born on October 3, 1927, in Creighton, NE, the daughter of Tom and Pearl Beckley. She spent her childhood attending country schools and later graduated from Orchard High School.

After high school, Becky pursued a career in nursing, dedicating herself to caring for others. Her work led her to Lewellen, NE, where she met the love of her life, James (Jim) Patterson. They were married on June 19, 1952, and together built a life rooted in love and commitment. Their family was joyfully completed with the adoption of their daughter, Sandra Sue, in October 1955.

In 1962, the Patterson family moved to Ogallala, NE. Becky continued her nursing career at the local hospital and also worked at Irene's fabric shop, where she discovered her passion for sewing. She lovingly crafted clothes for herself and her daughter, embracing creativity and care in every stitch.

Jim and Becky later moved to Oshkosh, where they operated the Gambles store, serving the community with dedication. After selling the store, Becky enjoyed hosting ladies' card parties, fostering connections and laughter among friends. She was a talented quilter and embroiderer, generously gifting baby quilts to loved ones and delighting in the joy they brought.

The lake cabin was a special place for Becky, where she entertained family and friends, creating treasured memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved daughter, her husband, four brothers, three sisters, nephew Larry Beckley, and niece Shirley Flohr. She is survived by a loving community of nieces, nephews, friends, and her family at the Methodist Church, all of whom will forever remember her warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit.

Ione (Becky) Patterson touched countless lives with her kindness, compassion, and zest for life. Her legacy will continue through the memories she created and the love she shared. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
