Jim Reeves

January 1, 1957 — February 27, 2019

Jimmie Reeves, 62, of Lewellen Nebraska passed away Wednesday February 27, 2019 at his home. 

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday March 16, 2019 at the Tiger Den in Lewellen. Casual attire is suggested.

Cremation has taken place.

Jimmie Renn Reeves was born on January 1, 1957 to Ruth Hope and Clinton Thomas Reeves. He was the second youngest of 13 siblings. He was raised in Lewellen Nebraska and attended school there.

After graduating high school from Lewellen, Jimmie attended college at Votech in Sidney Nebraska. After that he moved back to Lewellen and started his own construction and hay grinding business. He had two children, Abbey Reeves and Jacey Leeper who were raised in Lewellen.

Jimmie loved spending time with his grandchildren and he was with them almost every day. He loved to take them fishing and hunting. All three grandchild got their first turkeys with him. He also enjoyed having tea every day at the OT. He would call people every day like clockwork just to talk about anything and everything. He was always willing to help everyone. He will be greatly missed by many.

Jimmie is survived by his daughter, Abbey Reeves, son, Jacey Leeper, grandsons, Tyson, Dominique, and Landon, sisters, Ruth Payton of NE, Linda Blake of AZ, Sue Wilson and husband, John of AZ, brothers, Steve Reeves and wife Barb of KY, Mike and wife Toni of WY, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ruth Hope and Clinton Thomas Reeves, brothers Tom Reeves, Clinton Reeves, Theron Reeves, Gary Reeves, sisters Jacquelyn Alexander and Lana Reeves, and grandson Dusty James Boppre.
