Listen to Obituary

Judith Carol Storer (White), 82, currently of San Antonio, TX, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.

Judy was born in Bell Gardens, CA, on September 13, 1943, to George and Alice White. The family eventually settled in Sidney, NE, where she was active in church and played the organ. While attending Sidney HS, Judy participated in band and pep club. She went on to graduate from Hastings College with a degree in English / French and briefly returned to Sidney as a teacher at Sidney HS. One of her fondest memories was taking a group of students to France.

She met her first husband, Paul Abe, in Fort Collins, CO, where both were teaching. They eventually settled in Durango, CO, where their two daughters, Stacie and Tania, were born before moving to Farmington, NM.

Judy later married her second husband, Michael Buckner, and relocated to Albuquerque, NM, where she began a decades-long career in commercial property management. She married her third husband, David Storer, in 1994 and continued to live and work in Albuquerque until David’s death in 2008, after which she retired and moved to San Antonio, TX. She settled in the 55+ Hill Country Retreat Community, participating in the Golf Cart Club, Ladies Lunch Club, Wine Club, Mahjong, and Bunco! She absolutely flourished in Texas, where both daughters settled, and was delighted to watch her granddaughters, Kaila and Isabella, grow up. She spent many weekends at the Natatorium watching Kaila swim and play water polo and enjoyed many “Friday Night Lights” watching Isabella cheer on the O’Connor Panthers!

Judy is survived by her daughter, Tania Cuellar. Daughter, Stacie Robles, and her husband, Juan. Granddaughters Kaila Cuellar and Isabella Cuellar, and their father, Mark Cuellar. Sister, Mary Ellen Keelan, and her husband, Sidney. Sister-in-law Sandra White, and nephews, Christopher White and Jesse Keelan. She is also survived by two beloved cats, Tony and Callie.

Judy is preceded in death by her husband, David Storer; parents, George and Alice White; brother, John White; and the girls’ father, Paul Abe.

The family wishes to thank the loving staff at Arden Park Assisted Living and Caring Hearts of Texas Hospice in San Antonio, TX, for their unwavering devotion, care, and love during Judy’s time spent with them.

Cremation will take place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, April 24, 2026 at The Light Memorial Presbyterian Church. The church family invites the Sidney community to welcome one of its daughters home where she will rest with her family. The family also asks, whether joining near or far, that bright and vibrant colors be worn that day to celebrate her love of life and cheer!

Services will be streamed live and available to watch after the service on the Holechek-Bondegard Facebook page (www.facebook.com/hbfunerals).
