LeRoy Holcomb

Alva LeRoy Holcomb, 79, of Oshkosh passed away Monday, June 1, 2026 at his home.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at the Community Wesleyan Church in Lewellen. The services will conclude at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice of the Plains.

Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Home and Cremations in Oshkosh is serving the Holcomb family.

Alva LeRoy Holcomb was born August 10, 1946 in Pueblo, Colorado to Duke and Hazel (Adams) Holcumb. He grew up in western Colorado. After graduation he began work as a meat cutter.

He married his first wife, Linda, and together they had 2 children, Junior and Brenda. They made their home in western Colorado.

LeRoy married Patty Brasher in 1971. Gaining Tami and John as adopted children. They lived in Colorado for many years until they settled in Oshkosh in 2000.

LeRoy loved to be outdoors. He could often be found hunting or fishing. He enjoyed leather work, making all sorts of items.

He will be remembered as a loving husband and father. Taking good care of all of his children and providing for the family.

LeRoy and Patty were members of the Wesleyan Church.

He is survived by his wife, Patty of Oshkosh, children, Tami Pevler, John (Jan) Holcomb and Brenda (Jim) Marshall; son-in-law, Tim Pevler; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Charles Holcomb; brother-in-law, Albert Brasher; sister-in-law, Mary Garcia; and other extended family members and fishin’ buddies.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents, son, Alva LeRoy Holcomb, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Paisley; uncle and aunt, Ted and Maxine Holcomb.
