Sandy Howell

July 12, 1942 — September 27, 2022

Sandra “Sandy” Eileen Howell was a caring wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, step-grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world suddenly in her home in Oshkosh on September 27, 2022 at age 80, after multiple health issues and two battles with cancer.  

A memorial service is scheduled October 8th, 2022 at 11 A.M. at the Oshkosh Methodist Church with Pastor Seung Ho Park officiating.  Burial will follow in the Oshkosh City Cemetery. 

Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.

Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Home and Cremations in Oshkosh is serving the Howell family.

Memorials in Sandy’s name can be made to the Oshkosh United Methodist Church.

She was born to Ross and Sheila (Hinsdale) Roudebush on July 12, 1942, in Oshkosh, NE.  She was one of five children. She grew up in Oshkosh and attended Oshkosh Public Schools, graduating Salutatorian of her Class in 1960. She worked multiple jobs to support and provide for her two children, Gary Roudebush and Teresa (Roudebush) Jenkins. Sandy found her passion in bookkeeping for many years for various businesses and the Methodist Church. She was very active in her church and treasured her church family.  She married the love of her life, Alvin Leroy Howell on October 10, 1993, and were married for 7 adventure filled years before he passed away.

Besides spending time with her family and friends, Sandy had a passion for reading, solving puzzles, watching game shows, Nebraska Volleyball, keeping up with her kids and grandkids in various activities and keeping up with the community through Facebook. She loved hosting Christmas morning breakfast every year for her family with her famous breakfast casseroles, cinnamon rolls, and sausage balls.

Sandy will be missed by her family, friends, and community, but is finally pain-free in the arms of the Lord.

Sandy is survived by her children; Gary Roudebush, Teresa (Dale) Jenkins, Special niece; Tammy Krauter, Brother; Kenny Roudebush, Grandchildren; Tanner Jenkins, Ashlyn (Tristen)Jackson, Jeff Roudebush, Joe Roudebush, Allyisa Roudebush, and loving stepchildren; Terri (Lyndyl) Tidwell, Robin (Brandy) Howell, Rusty (Melony) Howell and their children and grandchildren. 

Sandy is proceeded in death by her husband; Alvin Leroy Howell, parents; Ross and Sheila Roudebush, Siblings; Glenna Woolery, Larry Roudebush, and Donna Noland.
